The challenges the psychology profession in Indonesia is facing
include bridging the gaps between the different ways in conduting
business namely the conventional ones and those based on the
information technology, the ambivalence with regard to its relationship
with the various governmental departments, and the growing competition
with other psychology related professions. Hence it is the time for
psychology profession in Indonesia to make the necessary changes as
well as to broaden its horizon to avoid being marginalized in the new
world of information technology.
